Since 2001, Dr. Jason Shook has been delivering sensational smiles to a whole community of patients. Dr. Shook completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. However, his educational credits don’t stop there. After graduating, Dr. Shook continued his training at the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Studies with a focus on Occlusion, as well as additional studies at the Ross Nash Institute for Dental Learning, and Misch International Implant Institute. His extensive educational background includes continuing education at the Scottsdale Institute, Spear Education, and the Dawson Academy. Dr. Shook understands the importance of education so much, that if he weren’t a dentist he’d likely be helping shape the minds of future generations as a teacher.
Dr. Shook is a member of many professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the North Carolina Dental Society, and the Spear Faculty Study Club. He is a certified Invisalign provider, as well as a dental implant specialist, trained to place and restore implants as a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
He’s had the honor of being named one of America’s Top Dentists in both 2013 and 2014, as well as a recipient of the Mercer Mastery 360 Philosophy Award for Top Team.
Community is an important aspect of Dr. Shook’s life. In addition to providing free dental care for the needy, and providing services for local college students. He serves on the Clay County Board of Education, and is active in his church.
Together, with his wife Laurie, the couple enjoys spending time with their three children. When he’s not making his patients smile, Dr. Shook can be found outdoors, camping, hiking, playing sports, or running.
