We will be happy to welcome you into our family of patients, and deliver quality dental care that you deserve. Our office is warm, welcoming, and comfortable – a place where you can be confident that you’re getting the best care.
First Visit Experience
During your first visit, you’ll spend the whole time getting acquainted with Dr. Shook. In about an hour’s time, we’ll take comprehensive x-rays so the Dr. Shook can examine the structure of your teeth and jaw, as well as check for decay. Because we believe that communication is essential to great oral health, we’ll discuss your smile goals, current dental health, and treatment plans. Together, we’ll develop the smile you’ve always wanted.
Generally, adult patients do not receive a cleaning on their first visit, primarily because we want to spend as much time performing a thorough exam and getting to know you. We’ll schedule your appointment with a hygienist after this first visit. However, we do clean children’s teeth during their first appointment, which starts with the hygienist’s gentle touch.

Don’t stress about how you are going to pay for your care. We know that each patient is an individual, and therefore has their own financial concerns. We strive to keep our prices competitive while offering a variety of payment options to our patients.
We accept MasterCard, Visa, and Discover credit cards, as well as third-party financing through CareCredit. Additionally, while we are not in-network with any insurance company, we do accept many insurance plans and will help you maximize your benefits. We’ll file your claim and take the assignment of benefits (the amount your insurance company will cover) and all you have to pay is the estimated balance at the time of your visit.
